Table Quiz Bounty 23rd march at 8PM.

A table quiz is organised by the fundraising committee at the bounty Venue..The Bounty on Wednesday 23rd @ 8pm. €40 for table of 4. Finger food (supplied by the Bounty) If you cannot attend a table can be sponsored.Its important to support these fundraising efforts are they are necessary for the continuing development of the club!!!
Well done St Patrick's Day Parade

Well done to all who helped and tuned out for the parade . the club was well represented with the SAR, Team, Divers and snorkelers and a specially themed float. Special thanks to Bernard Larkin for the float which can be reassembled now on annual basis. Our lovely mermaids Kim Warby and Alex Lawlor drew special attention and were no doubt pivotal in the club winning the overall prize

Suicide Intervention Workshop

Athlone Lions Club are organizing a two day Assist Suicide Intervention Workshop in the Regional Technical College on the 11th and 12th of Feb. This course is designed to help volunteers recognize the danger signs with those contemplating or at risk of suicide and to help take some action. The course is a combination of theory and role playing. Given a number of recent tragedies this is seen as very useful course for those working in this area. Please contact Mike on 086 262 1136

Subs , Bottles and Reg test , Chamber at UCHG

Subscriptions are now due and can be paid online through the Club Website, by cheque or postal order to the Club Secretary/Treasurer at the pool every Sunday morning. The last date for paying fees without a late fee is the 1st March 2011. Anyone paying after this date will be charged excess of €50
Chamber
The recompression Chamber (RCC) in University College Hospital, Galway (UCHG) has been re-opened for emergency treatment of divers. The RCC is available 24/7 for emergencies. Divers, DOs, DODs etc. who suspect Decompression Illness should contact the Coastguard (999/112 or Ch. 16) as soon as possible and request recompression treatment.
Bottle and Reg test
Club bottles and Regs are going for test on 15/02/11 If anyone would like to send bottle or Reg for test Declan will be at the club house on Sat 12/02/11 between 10:00 and 13:00 and Monday 14/02/11 between 18:00 and 19:00 Deposit of €30 required.
Dive Ireland Conference Scheduled for 5th and 6th March 2011

Dive Ireland, Irelands only dedicated dive show is taking place on the 5th & 6th March 2011. The venue is the City North Hotel, Co. Meath just off the M1 Northbound. CTF has promised that this year's event will be the biggest and best dive show ever with many international and national speakers and exhibitors participating.
