On Tuesday evening, 1st June 2010, Athlone Sub Aqua Club provided water safety cover at Coosan Point, Athlone for a large group of swimmers who were conducting a charity swim in aid of the Jack and Jill Foundation.

The Club's three boats were on standby for this swimming event which involved club members Brian Duffy, Ollie Fallon, Geraldine Fogarty, Matt Gleeson, Bernard Larkin, Sebastian Letocha, Emanuel McDonald, Stewart McMickan, Deborah Riley and Declan Walsh. The club were assisted in this water safety cover operation by Alan Heaney and David Irwin who carried out the role of paramedics.
