This year, the club's annual holiday will take place in Sheephaven Bay, Downings (Downies), County Donegal.  This holiday will start on Saturday 31^st July 2010 (travelling on this day, with a possible dive that evening) and will end on Sunday 8th August 2010. 

Dive Sites: There are a number of scenic dive sites to choose from along with the popular wrecks  SS Laurentic (40Mtrs) and the SS Kalliopis (25Mtrs). The boat will be launched from Downings Pier, Sheephaven Bay.  An alternative launch site, that may be used, is Meevagh Boat Yard, Mulroy Bay.

Other Things to do: Visit Tory Island; Surfing/Wind surfing/Kayaking on Downings beach; Try a dive for children from age 8 to 11years in Meevagh Dive Centre in Carrickart; Golfing; Atlantic Drive.

Directions:  Athlone to Roscommon.  From Roscommon take N61 to Sligo.  Sligo to Donegal take N4.  Take N15 to Letterkenny and then take the R245 to Downings. The journey will take approximately 3 ½ hours.

Accommodation: Members are advised to look for accommodation in either Carrickart, Downings or on the Rosguill Peninsula itself. Some of the accommodation facilities include:

Parking is available for camper vans on the beach in Downings (usual rules apply... area to be maintained free of litter etc.). The club has also been offered the use of the green area at the back of 'The Singing Pub' and use of its toilet facilities.

ATM Facilities:  The nearest ATM is located in the Centra Supermarket in Carrickart approximately 5 minutes away from Downings.
