Portroe Dive Centre is officially opening for the Easter Weekend in April 2010. Divers will be aware that this well known quarry site operated as an 'unofficial' dive  site for many years. With the opening of this new facility, divers may now enjoy the quarry's underwater features at depths ranging from 10m to 40m and the following on-site facilities:

• New Access to water
• Concrete slipway
• Access Platform
• Training Platform at 10m
• Staged depth marker buoys
• Rescue Boat and O2 on standby
• Changing Room
• Toilets
• Office/Shop/Snack Bar
• Ample Parking

Divers must be qualified with a recognised training agency e.g. CFT, PADI, TDI etc. Proof of qualification must be produced at the Centre's office. Divers under training must be supervised by an instructor. Solo diving is not permitted at the Centre.

Opening Times for the Centre are as follows:

• Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays 10am to 5.30pm
• Last Dive 4.30pm
• Gates close at 5.00pm

Prices for use of the Centre's facilities are:

• Diving €20 per day / €10 after 3.30pm
• Divers must be registered with Portroe Dive Centre (€5 per annum)
