As part of the Project AWARE Foundation's World Clean Up Day, Portroe Dive Centre invites divers to participate in its clean up day at Portroe quarry on Saturday 25th September 2010 starting at 10.00am. This event will benefit all Irish divers and in general make people more aware of how important the underwater world is, whether its a small quarry or the oceans. To cover costs, there will be a fee of €10. This will include air fills, skip hire and pick up bags. PLUS, there will be a BBQ for all participants in the afternoon to wrap up the event. Qualified divers from the club are encouraged to take part in this event. Trainee divers will require a qualified diver to lead them in order to take part.
